Footprints | Celebrate the Past, March to the Future

Over 300 people gathered to celebrate community milestones at the CJA Campaign event of the year at The Metropolitan Entertainment Centre. The JEM team helped with coordinating the logistics of this special day.

Music, dance and emotion brought everyone to their feet celebrating Jewish Federation of Winnipeg's 80's anniversary, March of the Living's 30th anniversary and Israel's 70th birthday. 

College of Nursing 75th Anniversary Celebrations

During the University of Manitoba’s homecoming weekend the College of Nursing had the opportunity to celebrate 75 years since opening it’s doors. JEM was right there to help celebrate!

Guests had the opportunity to go back in time with the a display banners describing key moments of the last 75 years. Alumni were able to explore the Helen Glass Centre for Nursing and experience the new technologies that are involved in teaching this generation of nurses. Local artist Hillary Druxman designed a jewelry piece specifically for the 75th Anniversary, representing compassion and gratitude. JEM was able to work with University of Manitoba’s videographer to produce 5 videos that showcased the local, national, international, and research impacts nursing graduates have had. The celebrations continued with a elegant Anniversary dinner that gave alumni an opportunity to re connect and to hear the evenings key note speaker, Linda Kristjanson. 

Icelandic Festival of Manitoba

JEM took charge of the beverage gardens at the 2018 Icelandic Festival of Manitoba in Gimli. Rain or shine, the unpredictable weather couldn’t stop us from having fun! With a Viking spiked lemonade in hand and soaked roaring Vikings surrounding us, its safe to say that we had a blast! 

The overall look and feel created by the custom tables, whisky barrels, and Icelandic signage created a relaxed and social atmosphere. Of course, we couldn’t have done it without the amazing volunteers that helped us out all weekend. 

Hayden's Bar Mitzvah

Hayden's Bar Mitzvah was the perfect mix of his favourite things— basketball and airplanes.  Held at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada, the party incorporated a basketball theme complete with basketball nets and custom centrepieces.  Guests celebrate amongst the airplanes with great food, a fun dance party, and who can forget the candy bar!  

Jewish Child and Family Service Community of Caring Gala

This special evening helped raise significant funds for research and advancements in the field of mental health and addictions for Jewish Child and Family Service.  The Winnipeg community came together for a great cause, great food, entertainment by the amazing Maccabeats and some really incredible prizes - all while making the room look colourful and bright!


Amanda & Mark's Wedding

This fabulous wedding was all class.  A beautiful downtown hotel hosted this happy couple as well as their friends and family for an unforgettable evening.

Bronwyn & Jono's Wedding

This stunning wedding featured all of the rustic-chic flair you could dream of.  From handmade wooden signage, to burlap and greens on the tables, to a tent so clear you could see the stars, this wedding had it all. 


Double Up for DASCH Campaign Launch

The Jessiman Foundation donated $1 Million to kick-start the "Double Up for DASCH" fundraising campaign for DASCH, Winnipeg's largest private non-profit agency for people living with special needs.  The event showcased DASCH services as well as touching stories from their clients. 

Karma Property Management Customer Appreciation Evening

The team at Karma Property Management Ltd. invited their customers, staff and investors to a fun customer appreciation evening at their beautiful new offices.  Catering from Wasabi, custom popcorn, and fun giveaways made this a special evening for their valued customers.

Jeff’s Surprise 40th Birthday

With a theme to celebrate the year Jeff was born that was carried throughout the night, this party was non-stop fun and full of surprises!  The birthday boy was surprised by the famous Burt Reynolds and transported back in time to 1976 in a classic Trans AM car to his very own surprise party.  Every detail from movie posters, glow sticks, powder blue tuxedos, and disco balls made this a night to remember.  Guests were very lucky to capture the night with a custom-themed Photo Booth.



Choices is the Jewish Federation of Ottawa’s premier event for the Women’s Campaign. Over the years, this event has brought in hundreds of new donors and has raised over $100,000 towards the Federation’s Annual Campaign. CHOICES reaches out to women of diverse backgrounds and perspectives and inspires them to share their time, intellect and financial resources with the Jewish Community.
